Service Description

An essential workshop that provides a practitioners perspective on conducting PACE Interviews. Any person with a duty of investigating criminal offences or prosecuting offenders is also required to follow the provisions of the PACE Codes of Practice as far as practical and relevant. Elevate your investigative skills and ensure legal compliance. Course Highlights: • Master the Police and Criminal Evidence Act, ECHR, and relevant Codes of Practice. • Section 76 & 78 Principles: Learn the legal foundations for evidence admissibility. • The Caution: Understand its meaning and application in law. • Investigative Interviewing: Grasp essential principles for effective interviews. • Oppressive Interviews: Identify actions that courts may rule as oppressive. • Handling Vulnerability: Plan and address vulnerabilities as defined in Codes of Practice. • P.E.A.C.E Model: Prepare and conduct interviews using this structured approach. • Suspect Information: Know what information must be provided to suspects. • Role of Legal Representatives: Conduct pre-interview briefings and understand solicitor roles. • Third Party Involvement: Manage appropriate adults and language professionals during interviews. • Audio Recording: Learn the process and proper use of recording equipment. • Unsolicited Comments: Handle unsolicited remarks to ensure court admissibility. Course Dates – Limited Availability The event is held face to face at a Conference Venue within Birmingham Town Centre (TBA) to ensure it is commutable and commences at 0900hrs. Tea, Coffee and Lunch will be provided during the day. Certificates of CPD are available Our expert speakers Our trainers are qualified to Level 5 in Education and Training [Cert Ed] and have a wide and extensive background in complex criminal investigations and understand fully the implications of PACE and the practical application. Our Trainers are ‘current’ subject matter experts in their fields, advanced suspect interview trained and designed and delivered PACE training within local Police forces and are current as practitioners in the subject matter. HOW TO BOOK £199 + VAT (GBP) per delegate Booking: Payment can be made via the website by PayPal/debit/credit card or select the Pay on the day option if you are booking on behalf of your organisation. This will allow and invoice to be raised to obtain a purchase order number.

Cancellation Policy

1. Course Registration: • Participants must register for courses through the BDG Training Consultancy website (bdgtrainingconsultancy.co.uk). • Full payment or a Purchase order (if applicable) must be made at the time of booking to secure a spot in the course. • Confirmation of booking will be sent via email once the registration and payment are completed. 2. Payment Methods: • We accept payments via credit/debit card, PayPal, bank transfer or Purchase Order • For bank transfers, payment must be received within 7 days of booking; otherwise, the reservation may be canceled. 3. Corporate Bookings: • Organisations wishing to book courses for multiple employees should contact BDG Training Consultancy directly for group rates and customised booking processes. • A purchase order or formal agreement may be required for corporate bookings. Cancellation Policy 1. Participant Cancellations: • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the course start date will receive a full refund minus a £50 administration fee. • Cancellations made between 7 to 14 days before the course start date will receive a 50% refund. • No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 15 days before the course start date. • Participants may transfer their booking to another individual without incurring a fee, provided BDG Training Consultancy is notified at least 7 days before the course start date. 2. Course Cancellations by BDG Training Consultancy: • BDG Training Consultancy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses if necessary. • In the event of a cancellation or reschedule by BDG Training Consultancy, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another course date. 3. Force Majeure: • BDG Training Consultancy is not liable for cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other unforeseen events (force majeure). • In such cases, BDG Training Consultancy will attempt to reschedule the course, and participants will be given the option to attend the rescheduled course or receive a full refund.
