An essential 2-day virtual workshop for those undertaking the role of Investigating officer/ Disclosure officer that provides a practitioners and lawyers perspective on undertaking Disclosure. Any person with a duty of investigating criminal offences or undertaking the Disclosure role is required to follow the provisions of Disclosure (CPIA), Codes of Practice and the Attorney Generals’ guidelines (updated 2024) Course Highlights: Delegates will be able to: • Apply CPIA, Human Rights Act implications, Attorney General’s Guidelines (2024), Codes of Practice, and CPS Disclosure Manual guidelines • Identify the issues that arose in the Post Office Horizon Scandal • Identify what constitutes ‘Unused Material’ and ‘Relevant Material.’ • Apply the principles of reasonable lines of enquiry and how to record your decision making on an Investigation Management Document (IMD) • Identify what constitutes Rebuttable presumption material • Learn how to apply the Disclosure Test effectively • Identify what is ‘Sensitive’ and ‘Highly Sensitive’ material and apply the sensitivity threshold correctly • Properly record and disclose material meeting the Disclosure Test • Apply theory through practical scenario led exercises Why Attend: • Ensure compliance with CPIA. • Stay current with recent changes in the AG guidelines 2024 • Improve investigative practices. • Mitigate risks of non-compliance Course Dates – Thursday 20th February 2025 and Friday 21st February 2025 The event is held virtually and commences at 0930am to 3.30pm each day. Our trainers are advanced Disclosure trained and have managed complex Disclosure as practitioners. This training is also supported by the former Head of the West Midlands Complex Case Unit CPS who as an SME in this field has led on Policy development and dealt with and advised on all aspects of Disclosure for over 30 years. HOW TO BOOK £249 + VAT (GBP) per delegate Booking: Payment can be made via the website by PayPal/debit/credit card or select the Pay on the day option if you are booking on behalf of your organisation. This will allow an invoice to be raised to obtain a Purchase order.

Cancellation Policy

1. Course Registration: • Participants must register for courses through the BDG Training Consultancy website (bdgtrainingconsultancy.co.uk). • Full payment or a Purchase order (if applicable) must be made at the time of booking to secure a spot in the course. • Confirmation of booking will be sent via email once the registration and payment are completed. 2. Payment Methods: • We accept payments via credit/debit card, PayPal, bank transfer or Purchase Order • For bank transfers, payment must be received within 7 days of booking; otherwise, the reservation may be canceled. 3. Corporate Bookings: • Organisations wishing to book courses for multiple employees should contact BDG Training Consultancy directly for group rates and customised booking processes. • A purchase order or formal agreement may be required for corporate bookings. Cancellation Policy 1. Participant Cancellations: • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the course start date will receive a full refund minus a £50 administration fee. • Cancellations made between 7 to 14 days before the course start date will receive a 50% refund. • No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 15 days before the course start date. • Participants may transfer their booking to another individual without incurring a fee, provided BDG Training Consultancy is notified at least 7 days before the course start date. 2. Course Cancellations by BDG Training Consultancy: • BDG Training Consultancy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses if necessary. • In the event of a cancellation or reschedule by BDG Training Consultancy, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another course date. 3. Force Majeure: • BDG Training Consultancy is not liable for cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other unforeseen events (force majeure). • In such cases, BDG Training Consultancy will attempt to reschedule the course, and participants will be given the option to attend the rescheduled course or receive a full refund.
