This RIPA Training course will ensure Public Authorities are equipped with the knowledge to obtain appropriate authorities under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act if using Surveillance or Covert Human Intelligence Sources (CHIS). With the increased use of the Internet in Investigations, it is critical staff involved in the process for applications have the appropriate knowledge, understanding and training to ensure RIPA compliance and Investigatory Powers Commissioners Office (IPCO) compliance

Aim
This RIPA Legislation workshop will provide an understanding of the requirements of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and Codes of Practice. This practical, structured RIPA compliance course gives you a comprehensive understanding of the legal regime imposed under RIPA. You’ll learn how to achieve RIPA compliance when planning, authorising and/or conducting investigative practices regulated by RIPA. ​

This Public Authority RIPA Training Course will provide the necessary knowledge and understanding and is tailored to the specific roles undertaken and is for all Investigators or staff involved in preparing applications under RIPA, RIPA Gatekeepers Authorising Officers and Senior Responsible Officers.
